Today being Star Trek's 46th anniversary, we all need to thank Gene for creating this series. I believe the latter entries didn't have the same direction Gene would've liked and the movies went mostly the wrong direction altogether.

I saw Gene Roddenberry at a Star Trek Convention in the 70's with my Father.
We're Both Star Trek fans from way Back.
