The team behind "Game of Thrones" has revealed that the third season is going to be the biggest yet -- literally. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have revealed that even though there will still only be 10 episodes, each one will be slightly longer.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Weiss said that "There’s almost another full episode’s worth of extra minutes spread across the season." He says that part of that is thanks to HBO, explaining that "One of the great liberties with HBO is we’re not forced to come in at a specific time. We can’t be under 50 minutes or over 60, but that gives us a lot of flexibility."

Benioff adds that this is suitable because they'll be adapting a large part of "A Storm of Swords," the longest book in George RR Martin's series, saying that it's "a super-sized season, as befitting Storm of Swords." He finished by saying that "Last year we had a lot of 52-minute episodes. This year is a lot of 56, 57." Are you glad that season three will be longer? Do you watch "Game of Thrones"?

^^best characters! If they kill them, I might just stop watching:(
The real appeal is simple. You will find no sword wielding models in silk loin cloths, frilly outfitted aristocrats or lavish five star accommodations. What you will find, is an abundance of real life, savage intent and an unyielding pursuit for power. All of this and more, so eloquently supported by steel, leather and blood....Just a thought...
