If you thought Lady Gaga's meat dress was ridiculous, wait 'til you hear what they're doing with it next.
Thankfully, the notorious meat dress that Gaga wore to this year's VMAs won't be donated to the Salvation Army or turned over to McDonald's to be processed into hamburger meat, but they aren't throwing it away, either. They're turning it into jerky.
The designer, Franc Fernandez, tells E! Online: "The dress will go through a process where it becomes a sort of 'jerky' and will be archived. Thank you."

Fernandez told MTV that the process of turning the dress into jerky would be natural -- an alternative to letting it rot.
When MTV asked Fernandez if he planned to reprise the meat dress, he said, ""I think it's just that -- it's just the meat dress. There's not going to be meat dresses in the future. This was made for a specific purpose. It's what it is."
That's a relief, but someone should tell designer Jeremy Scott, who designed two new meat dresses after seeing the one Gaga wore.

And that is so freaking disgusting! Who the hell would where that!?!? (apperently, she would)
i just dont know anymore -.-
second thats discusting!!!!
I still find it funny that Gaga isn't the first person to have done a meat dress. It was done way before Gaga in 1987 in the work "Vanitas: Flesh Dress for an Albino Anorectic".
(1987)
I learned it it one of my art history classes. Useful information for sure.

Second, this is ripe for innuendo. Jerking meat? Eating Lady Gaga? A comedian couldn't ask for better.
*facepalms* I thought Gaga said that it wasn't real meat. What?
Heck no! I wouldn't eat that! I have a feeling that her "little monsters" will be stupid enough to do it!
