Do we have a new Pee-Wee Herman on our hands? Actor Fred Willard, known for his roles on "Modern Family," "Everybody Loves Raymond" and movies like "Best in Show" and "Anchorman," has been arrested on suspicion of committing a lewd act at a Hollywood adult theater, The Associated Press reports. Wait for the :15 mark in the video below for more of the cringe-worthy details.

The 72-year-old actor was booked and released at the Hollywood police station on suspicion of committing a lewd act in public, the AP reports. Police say they caught the married actor with his pants down -- literally, TMZ reports. You probably don't want to know what else they allegedly saw him doing. We actually feel a little sorry for Fred Willlard. He was in an "adult" theater after all ... and he's 72 years old. He must be totally mortified. Do you think people put celebrities up on an unrealistically high pedestal?

How can anyone vote no to this?

And...it is okay to watch porn in an adult theater but illegal to jack off?

Why are we upset at Fred for his possible lewd act. Should'nt we be upset about his vist to the adult theater. Isn't the lewd act par for the course in such places. It amazes me the standard that ignorant mankind tries to set when we are so weak. That's why we need something greater than ourselves. We need the Lord.

It really isn't against the law to be naked in public. BUT for it to fall under a lewd act someone needs to be offended by it. I can't imagine someone getting offended in such a place but then again I'm not sure what goes on in these places.

The young think of them as role models and all they do is throw it the face of the young. They make money for all of their crap from the young ones that love the Hollywood names or images. Look how dirty some of the public divorces are and all for the pubic to see, read and sometimes see.

I think we do tend to put celebrities on a pedestal and then act disappointed if they don't live up to it. i suppose fred willard didn't think that he was famous enough for something he did outside a film to be newsworthy. Its the public who watch films and the press that reports on hollywood that make these stories into news. most people probably don't care what mr willard gets up to away from the film camera.

Defininely not, unless the subject celebrity makes a really significant contribution to
society. The late former US president Ronald Reagan is a promanate example of a
qualifying example for exemption. He was truly legendary. And futhermore, he NEVER
commited any lewed act of any kind to my knowlege.

No, I don't believe that we do as much as thought..... many celebrities are fabulous actors and actresses but DUMB as mud bricks.....
I love what Brad Pitt says about Celebrities talking politics....." Many should keep their mouth SHUT especially when they don't know what their talking about "!!! All an actor is : "Is a guy that puts on makeup for a living".........................
love it.... lol by the way... Brad Pitt is a registered Democrat.

We don't put them on pedestals. They put themselves on pedestals, thinking their views and opinions are somehow noteworthy, giving each other awards, and sometimes doing outrageous things or wearing outrageous clothes just to get attention. Journalist David Frost said "Television is an invention that permits you to be entertained in your living room by people you wouldn't have in your home."
