In my opinion, it's better than the rest. Not perfect, but at least an alternative side is presented.

But some of the same men who own the liberal media owns Fox also. So makes me wonder how skewed all of the news is towards one side or the other? How bout just balanced news from all stations.

Fox does report on some things that are not reported elsewhere (and that's good). But who has seen anything about Baxter putting live flu virus in vaccinations that were sent to Germany, Austria and the Czec Republic last Dec.? And then admitting the "mistake". Has this story run on fox, even during the Swine flu outbreak which was all over the all news stations?
Fox also failed to mention that even tho Baxter was still being investigated for criinal activity, they were approved by the FDA to make vaccines for swine flu. Fox also failed to mention that there is presently 2 billion earmarked for flu vaccines in case of epidemic.
Fox failed to mention that we are being attacked by biological weapons by pharmaceutical companies!
there's certain "places" fox won't go.One is offending their advertisers..........even at the expense of the entire world's heath.

You don't get to be an idiot today. If giving out political opinion were taboo for a news station, then praise God they would all be out of business and the world would be a much better place!

Yes, they would be and yes the world would be.The poll was specific, so I answered specifically, should that be an issue, those we pay tribute to today would have given their lives and time in vain.

I can at least stomach watching Fox news. They still get a little swept up in the mantras of the moment and often accept the premise of liberal speak, but at least they have good programming plus decent anchors and moderators.
I would give Fox an up rave!

Yes. Unless you add the alternative media that still speaks the truth: Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Medved, Laura Ingram, etc. As long as we still have freedom of speech (its days seem numbered!) there will be a voice for truth in America.

I like to read ... are you actually recommending books that are so obviously biased? Or does the book on BIAS uses the "slobbering love affair" as an example? (oh wait I guess not they are by the same author).

If you are so smart, then you should be able to read these books and point out where Bernie Goldberg's 28 years of experience INSIDE CBS is incorrectly portrayed. I await you insightful review.

Look. This isn't hard. Have you read the book? I have and it seems Doc has too. If you haven't read it, you don't get to review it.
Anyways your logic is beyond ridiculous! It's the very fact that the media is biased that this fine man could no longer be a part of it.

I have read both books, and your analysis is spot on correct. Only liberals review books without reading them. The NYT book review on "Slobbering..." was written and submitted BEFORE the reviewer even had access to the book! All this shows that the liberals are not interested in facts or truth, just in advancing their liberal agenda.

EDIT: Is it any wonder the NYT fish wrap will be running to rich Uncle Obama for a handout.... er, I guess they're calling them "bailouts."

Okay. You say its a good book, I'll check it out. BIAS, not the other one that does not require reading beyond the title to know it is biased.

Now I have a serious recommendation for you:

OK, fair enough. I won't criticize the book since I've never heard of it and I will look it up.
The ones I recommended on the media bias are the best for this subject because the writer is completely unbiased. He was simply on the inside and saw first hand what was happening.
  • Linnaeus Muffy 2009/05/25 20:29:06

I'm skeptical that anyone can discuss media bias with respect to a political campaign, without showing any bias. But whereas skepticism is good, prejudice is not. So I take you at your word.
