In the pics, Kutcher, 34, is seen heading to the set of an upcoming indie movie tentatively titled "Jobs: Get Inspired," which is scheduled to be released this fall. The film reportedly focuses on the late Apple co-founder as a young hippie-turned-technology visionary.

While the likeness is more impressive than some people thought it would be, there's at least one goof so far. Jobs mostly wore New Balance 991’s, but it looks like Kutcher is wearing Asics, Cult of Mac notes.

Meryl Streep played Margaret Hatcher much better than Jamie Fox played Ray Charles or Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe. The only other one that was right on was Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison. The rest left something to be desired. Steve Jobs was a smart man, but you gotta admit he was an ugly looking man.

I don't think he was ugly at all. not the handsomest, but on the good looking side.

When Gary Busey sings "True Love Ways" in that movie I could die. It's so great. GD, it makes me cry. & yes, he did sing his own songs! His brain got so messed up with that damn motorcycle accident years ago with no helmet and head injury. Then dependence on pain killers. But he was awesome in his day. He is a smart man but nobody takes him seriously anymore. I think thats a mistake. Bonnie was amazing as well.

My pick would have been Gary Busey for "The Buddy Holly Story", but sadly even though he was nominated for an Academy Award for the movie (AND sang all the songs himself!), it didn't make the list. :(

He definitely did. Granted this is from wikipedia, but I'd be happy to cite other sources:

    Production

The actors did their own singing and played their own instruments live during the filming, with guitarist Jerry Zaremba overdubbing the guitar parts. Busey, in particular, was admired by critics for recording the soundtrack music for the film live and losing a considerable amount of weight in order to portray the skinny Holly.

I can't wait to see Ashton Kutcher perpetuate the lie that Steve Jobs is a technological "visionary." If re-branding something that someone else created and then selling that idea makes you a visionary, then let me introduce you to my new company, Oranges.

Oranges. Don't use us because we have better technology, use us... because.
Oranges. We didn't create it, but you'll tell your friends we did.
Oranges. You want to look original, don't you? Then use only Oranges, like everybody else.
When comparing apples to Oranges, at least we're pretty.

    jealous much?
    Jobs was a visionary.
Without Jobs, we wouldn't have Pixar as it is today
Without Jobs, we wouldn't have the cell phone as it is today
Without Jobs, we wouldn't have portable music as it is today
Without jobs, the computer wouldn't be as it is today.

The man was a visionary, much more than you'll ever be in your life

Yes, because cell phones wouldn't have developed without Steve Jobs. Because he personally made the iPhone. His company may be responsible for it, but it's not his personal brain child.
The iPod did nothing impressive, everything it did was available on an earlier mp3 player, Apple just marketed the iPod better than it's predecessors.
And you just made me die a little inside. Steve Jobs did nothing for computers, all he did was take what some nerds did, put his name on it, and sell it.

I'm not jealous of a good salesman. If I were jealous of anybody, it would be the inventors.

Ok first off, the Steve Jobs movie hasn't even come out yet. There's not even a trailer at this point. So how can we compare Ashton Kutcher's acting as Steve Jobs to the others? Yes he does look a lot like Steve Jobs when Jobs was younger but acting goes beyond looks. We wont know how Ashton will do until we see the movie.

You must be kidding. Joaquin Phoenix came nowhere near nailing the character of Johnny Cash. I just hope that someday they will re-do that movie with someone that can do a better job of looking and mimicking Johnny Cash.

Kutcher is a devout obama supporter and socialist. So NO on him ever working again.
