Black mock turtleneck? Check. Baggy jeans? Check. Beard? Check. The first photos of Ashton Kutcher as a young Steve Jobs have emerged, and the digerati are busy debating whether he looks the part.

In the pics, Kutcher, 34, is seen heading to the set of an upcoming indie movie tentatively titled "Jobs: Get Inspired," which is scheduled to be released this fall. The film reportedly focuses on the late Apple co-founder as a young hippie-turned-technology visionary.

While the likeness is more impressive than some people thought it would be, there's at least one goof so far. Jobs mostly wore New Balance 991’s, but it looks like Kutcher is wearing Asics, Cult of Mac notes.

All poems do have wolves in them. Death has been my companion all my life, the same as Jim's. He's embraced me many times, Jim failed to push him away the final time. This is True about everyone though, we just recognized our traveling companion. Whether you do or not doesn't matter, the outcome of life is the same.

Val Kilmer did a fantastic job as Jim Morrison and he looked just like him. I can't stand Ashton Kutcher. I didn't even like him on That 70's Show.

Robert De Niro as Jake La Motta

This one was tough. Maryl Streep was brilliant as Margaret, and Val Kilmer did his best work to date as Jim Morrison, but I think the nod goes to De Niro due to the response of those that knew the real man.

It would have made a lot more sense if Yahoo had posted a picture of Steve Jobs at the age he was, that Ashton Kutcher is portraying. All your pictures show Ashton Kutcher portraying a young Steve Jobs, and a photo of an older Steve Jobs. I lived in the Sunnyvale-Cupertino area in those years; and to me, Ashton looks very much like Steve Jobs at a younger, healthier age.

I thought the genius that is Gary Oldman overcame any deficiencies the movie may have had. The lady who played Nancy was really great; from all accounts, the real-life Nancy was even more annoying than the movie version. Also, it helps if you're a middle-aged person with a history of substance abuse; it's easier to relate to movies when they relate to YOU. Anyone who's been around junkies knows what a helluva job Oldman did in that flick.

I don't think I've ever seen a more striking resemblance, or perfect performance than Val Kilmer's portrayal of Jim Morrison. I'll admit to not having seen most of these, but out of the biopics I have seen, The Doors is one of the best.

I forgot about Sid and Nancy! I have seen, it, and you're right, it's awesome! There's another great biopic. Nowhere Boy was great too, but since we don't have as many videos of young John Lennon, the accuracy of the portrayal is hard to place. Good movie overall though, in my opinion.

I got to give the props to Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles. Haven't seen Kutcher as Jobs other than the picture, but there's more to it than looks and that's mannerisms and speech habits, etc. Foxx was awesome as Ray Charles and of the list.. he's the best there. I do look forward to seeing the Jobs movie though and who knows, perhaps my opinion will change once I've seen it... but I doubt it. :)

Val as jimmy. no doubt the best. i didnt know both the doors nor Val very well until i had watched the movie. And Hubby hubby . Could have fooled me. I thought it was the Singer playing the part.
