    dad had an old "champ" when I was young. I use a carvin nomad tweed right now.

    its a two channel amp, so I've never really pushed the clean channel enough to listen for that natural clip, though im sure it will achieve it. usually, if i want overdrive, I either switch channels or use my tubescreamer. its a nice amp, and I am pretty happy with it. the only thing that dissapoints me is the printed circuitboard. I guess I expected this to be handwired, but maybe I expected too much for the mere 5 bills I paid for it.
