"Models Inc", another Aaron Spelling 90210 spin-off in the mid-90s...but this one lasted only one season, if I recall correctly?! I think that I just loved the hot women in it, 'cause many people would say that it started at downhill & never improved from there!!
"ER." Once the original cast members started to leave the show and new characters/actors were brought on board, the writers seemed to have lost their drive to provide good stories for each episode.
"The Killing" on AMC. When it takes two years to reveal who the killer is, the show is doomed no matter the quality of individual episodes! It took about as long to find out who killed Rosie Larsen and it did to find out who lilled Laura Palmer (Remember Twin Peaks! 1990 to 1991).
I agree with you. I love the weird stuff - government is overdone. I want more aliens and weird events. That show should have followed a Twilight Zone type of show.
I think the initial shows of "X-Files" were really great! The one about "TOOMS," the guy who had to eat human liver every 30-years (a 2-parter) was EXCELLENT!!! And another one about 2-sets of twins (same father but different mothers; Kathy Griffin was in that episode) was funny and interesting. And the one with frogs or toads falling from the sky, and when a cow came crashing through the ceiling, almost smashing Fox was another good one!!! The show must have lost their best writers towards the end.
I agree with you! Love the weirdness of X-Files. They lost alot with all the conspiracy etc. Weird is better. I now watch Pananormal Files --- Love the weird!!By the way Tooms was probably the best episode ever --- !!!!
I've never seen Paranormal Files. (do i need the cable box to watch it?) Is it like X-Files? Today, I'm going to "attempt" to transfer my X-Files VHS of "TOOMS," to a DVD. This is one X-Files story that I enjoy watching at least once a month!
And on the Sci-Fi network, I saw an advertisement for the new season (never saw the show before) of Paranormal Witness. I don't know if this is a "reality type" show or a scary show. Have you ever seen this show before?
Yes, It is a good show. Love the Sci Fi Channel Paranormal Files are on cable. Very Scarry - Not sure about the reality of it but it is good entertainment!
I'm always looking for interesting/scary shows to watch! ALPHAS is finally back on the Sci Fi channel now. I'll be sure to look for Paranormal Files. Sounds like a good show! Thanks!
After a strong peak in day (season) 5, they faltered a bit in day 6 and REALLY fell badly in day 7 before bouncing back very nicely for day 8.
The actual best example I know of where an excellent show declined badly was Star Trek: Voyager. After a promising first season, they ended that year with a dumb finale, then premiered season 2 very weakly, and then fell completely apart (as far as I'm concerned) in the middle and later parts of that same season. They tried to make up for it in seasons 3 and 4, and they succeeded somewhat, but it was just never the same, and then they ended the show in truly stupid fashion with the weakest finale (before the even worse finale of Star Trek: Enterprise) on any televised Trek.
Before I even clicked on this question, Heroes popped into my head. I LOVED that show, but it just kind of slowly dissipated.
My second choice would be Smallville. I was really into it for the first few seasons, then it just got out of hand. Couldn't stand to watch the last few seasons.
Heroes was the best show I had watched since DS9, great story and acting, and I could tell writers were fans also by all the Trek guest stars on the Show
As soon as the show lost McLean Stevenson is started to go downhill, and by the time Winchester had replace Frank Burns the show was lost completely.

It didn't really go downhill. . . they just quit making it. I guess it went off the air during the writer's strike. I wish they'd finish it thouh. . .
