It was a tough choice. Overall, I think Houses is my favorite album of theirs. One is real close though. Physical Graffiti on and 2&3 had some good songs, but I can do with out them. I know that might be considered blasphemy, but what can I say? I like what I like. I don't listen to LZ very much anyway. The transfer to digital media hasn't done well by their music. I used to listen to them on a first generation Sansui quartz turntable, a Kenwood 600 power amp, and a pair of second generation AR2 speakers. Unless you are willing and able to spend tons of money these days, you just can't get close.
No doubt they held up well with the great older stereo equipment. As I stated above I really like their more Blues flavored.
It may only be blasphemy to my Buddies 19yr. old Son? He was in the nitch in their hallway not long ago as I happened by to hurry Pop up for a golf time. He was listening to them as I stopped to say "hey". When I told him I had seen them live 3 times I thought he was going to wash my feet in praise. He's an aspiring guitarist and actually pretty good!
