I believe sometimes there is a disconnect between a soul that enters which genetic gender. Body and soul are two separate entities. As the embryo is forming it's gender is determined by which sperm had fertilized the egg. At some point, and I don't know when, a soul enters the body. If I knew when that would make the abortion issue less of a moral issue. Just my thoughts.
So if Chas feels like she was born into the wrong body, maybe she was. Maybe she will be happy now.

Chastity Bono, the transgender daughter of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, officially became Chaz Bono and a man on Thursday when a Santa Monica, Calif. judge granted his petition for a gender and name change.
Bono came out as a lesbian in 1995, but began questioning his gender identity in 2001. He began his sex change "irreversible surgery" in March 2009, just after his 40th birthday. Chaz’ transformation from a woman to a man started with hormones and surgery to remove his breasts. Chaz hasn’t come out to say if he had surgery below the belt or not, claiming it is too private.
"I've lived my whole life in a body having everybody relate to me as something I don't feel," Bono told PEOPLE magazine in December. "I finally get to live my life the way I've always wanted to."
Some wonder if Chaz's lifelong journey to find his true gender identity will make him happier now that he can show the world who he truly is or if he is just following in 'his' mom's footsteps?
