Let’s face it. The odds of going on “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” and getting married are not good. After 16 seasons of the original series and eight of its female-led spin-off, only two couples have actually walked down the aisle. Only Trista Rehn really married the guy she picked given that, technically, Jason Mesnick didn’t even give his future bride Molly Malaney the final rose on the show — he had to break his first reality TV fiancée’s heart on national TV to get back on the road to true love.

The “Bachelorette” hasn’t produced a long-lasting union since Season 1. After a brief engagement to “Bachelor” #15 — Brad Womack — Emily Maynard found herself in the coveted rose-giving spot. Her chosen suitor, Jef Holm, was financially stable, ready to take on the role of dad to her daughter Ricki and head-over-heels in love with her. A wedding seemed to be imminent — but now come reports that the couple has split. It’s too bad. Everyone was really rooting for the lovebirds, who were among the fans’ favorites over the years.

Honestly I don't know any of these people even the ones I voted for. I know what the Bachelor is and I think I've even seen some episodes at one time or another but it's not something I give much thought to.

Yes my vote is 4 the only success story of the show, yet I stopped watching long ago, like 3 or 4 seasons ago. I had to! I saw my time was not wisely being used & it was feeding my already growing knowledge, to quote adam sandler, I know puke, that "Love Stinks!" Well it sure does looking at it through this show...lol

some people go with the flow,if it works it works if it doesn't ,oh well,they had fun and free trips and 15 minutes of fame which can help a resume,get a company such as people water more recognized(free publicity throughout the world and pretty young women that act with descent character jobs advertising products etc.Why not,money is what pays the bills.

It's a great opportunity to meet people across the U.S. and make friends for life too and be involved in charity work,hollywood parties etc that these shows get involved with outside the show.
