Elvis impersonators should be shaking in their boots! The true King of Rock and Roll will be joining the ranks of Tupac, MJ, and Marilyn and will be making a comeback in holographic form.
Digital Domain Media Group, the company behind the Tupac Shakur hologram, announced this week that it is planning to virtually resurrect Elvis Presley across a variety of platforms—movies, television, concerts, etc.
“Elvis Presley is the king of rock and roll . . . you have to start with the king,” Ed Ulbrich, Chief Creative Officer at Digital Domain told MTV News this week. “We’re in the creative development stages now. Instead of a single application we’re looking to bring Elvis back across a host of platforms, including live concerts in venues.”
The Elvis hologram may end up being amazing, but this announcement got us wondering whether this trend is really a good idea.
Will holograms be the end of live impersonators? Why should we watch movies or television shows about Marilyn when we can just go see her “live”? Shouldn’t the dead be allowed to rest in peace?
What do you think SodaHeads? Are holographic performers a great trend or just wrong?

him in concert, I been to memphis, tennesse to see his home twice. I remember his
movies, Yes, I was a Elvis fan.
I will never forget the day that he died. I walked into my sister's room and my mom was sitting on the bed crying. She told me that he was a good man that got hooked on pills. She said that he made many mistakes in life, but he had a kind heart and cared about people.
Elvis will live forever in the entertainment industry. This is just an example of how big he really is!
Now Elvis = SUPER HUGE BIG MEGA ULTRA GIGANTIC Facepalm!
Though, beware this scene she's topless and SyFy censored it.
Holograms are not real , they're fake..I mean , I don't mind the VOCALOID holographic concerts because those are FICTIONAL characters...Making a hologram of somebody that died and having people pay to see a FAKE hologram perform is somewhat disrespectful...Plus , it sort of takes out the point in seeing a concert to see the real person perform their music , doesn't it? .-.
