Elvis impersonators should be shaking in their boots! The true King of Rock and Roll will be joining the ranks of Tupac, MJ, and Marilyn and will be making a comeback in holographic form.
Digital Domain Media Group, the company behind the Tupac Shakur hologram, announced this week that it is planning to virtually resurrect Elvis Presley across a variety of platforms—movies, television, concerts, etc.
“Elvis Presley is the king of rock and roll . . . you have to start with the king,” Ed Ulbrich, Chief Creative Officer at Digital Domain told MTV News this week. “We’re in the creative development stages now. Instead of a single application we’re looking to bring Elvis back across a host of platforms, including live concerts in venues.”
The Elvis hologram may end up being amazing, but this announcement got us wondering whether this trend is really a good idea.
Will holograms be the end of live impersonators? Why should we watch movies or television shows about Marilyn when we can just go see her “live”? Shouldn’t the dead be allowed to rest in peace?
What do you think SodaHeads? Are holographic performers a great trend or just wrong?

Neat technology tho...
It's wrong to milk money off of the deceased but if people are just doing it for the love of music, this is great.
are having to reuse material from years ago. Look at star wars they have a new rerelease for every other day of the year. In point indviduals need to think of new content or great remakes that don't delve into source content but use it as inspiration for bigger and better things. 1 example is the new reboot: My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (Brony out)
