Elton John Says Madonna's Career Is 'Over,' Compares Her to a 'Stripper': Right On or Dead Wrong?

Don't expect to hear an Elton John-Madonna mash-up anytime soon. In the latest spat in their long-running feud, Elton John told an interviewer that the queen of pop's career is "over"... and that the iconic pop star kind of looks like a "stripper."

elton john madonna

"She’s such a nightmare. Her career’s over...and she looks like a f***ing fairground stripper. She’s been so horrible to Gaga," he said in an interview that aired on Australia’s Channel 7 program Sunday Night.

John's pal Lady Gaga happens to be the godmother of his son Zachary with partner David Furnish. Now, it's true that Madonna hasn't exactly been supportive of Gaga -- even implying that she copied one of her tunes -- but we still think Elton John is being pretty harsh. And knowing Madonna, she'll relish the chance to fire back where it hurts. Do you think Elton John is right about Madge?

Elton John is so right. Madonna is having to use her body to get her name in the media. She is supposed to be a singer not a stripper! It is such a shame she has to stoop that low to get a audience to hear her.

are you kidding, imagine how much money she could make being a vegas headliner... you'd have all the 40+ somethings who grew up on her music shelling out the same amount of money they'd pay to go see celine dion... *shakes head*

I dont know but I know he doesnt have any room to talk the first (and last) time I heard one of his songs was Gnomeo and Juliet. I know he was big back somewhere between the 70-80's. I am not a fan of Madona or Elton and niether do I hate them, so I am not biased in my opinion. But Elton might be biased in his opinion of Madona (since it is alleged she copied Gaga's song, which if she did I highly doubt it was intentional)

It is sad really. She very well might be and probably IS a fantastic singer but it is past time for her to be selling sex as her attention getter. No amount of plastic surgery in the world is going to make her body as hot as she wishes it still were. It must be am embarrassment for her daughter too. She needs to reinvent herself. . . again.

I saw her SuperBowl performance, the You Tube version that critiqued all the Illuminati - Masonic symbolism in her act - these people have lots of free time to come up with this secret stuff - but the point is that performance showed Madonna is still a fun, top class entertainer. Her songs are more than just singing baby has blue eyes over and over....

She may not stay as a chart topper, but as long as she can still sing and move, she'll still draw crowds. She's a real honest to goodness Italian Jersey girl. We still appreciate her next door here in Pennsylvania.
You go Madonna Ciccone! We still love hearing you sing.

Madonna is a pig always has been and always will be along with LG- shock is what they do (if there is anyone these days shocked at anything) really Madonna..so you have oil funnels on your breasts and you spread for many many many men (women too right?) wow .... pig sold when she was young , now add lots of age to that and she looks like what she is ..an old pig..BTW I did like some of her pop back in the eighties, but a pig she always was.

She's trying desperately to stay in the spotlight, the thing is...no one cares. Her music is terrible now. I mean, I'm not a huge Elton John fan, either, but at least the man still has some dignity and seems to have accepted age with grace. Madonna's just tacky, tacky, tacky.

Madonna is a talented artist, despite the fact that she is Satanic with some of her music. As long as she continues to remake herself and the public likes her, her career will continue.

I will always love her for pushing people's buttons. I would rather see her than him any day. She's done more for gay rights than he ever has. I don't get the Gaga stuff. I love them both and there's room for all of them.

Dead Wrong!!! There are some people who NEVER tire for stripping or engaging in some sort of sexual act to gross out those with a sense of decency while exposing themselves to the eyes of adults and teens of all ages. She's kind of like National Geographics for modern perverts and Madonna is right there with the rest of them reading and able to expose whatever she can for a buck or just expose.

She's approaching that age where she might need a walker, but somehow she'll' expose something just for the fun of it. Her raincoat probably only has sleeves, regardless of gravity!

Madonna and Gaga are two sides of the same skanky, slutty coin. Some day they will answer for all the kids they have lead down an immoral path. Hope they repent before it is too late.

Yes, once a slut always a slut, which goes for both of them. It infuriates me, that all-too many kids regard them as role models.
