Elton John Says Madonna's Career Is 'Over,' Compares Her to a 'Stripper': Right On or Dead Wrong?

Don't expect to hear an Elton John-Madonna mash-up anytime soon. In the latest spat in their long-running feud, Elton John told an interviewer that the queen of pop's career is "over"... and that the iconic pop star kind of looks like a "stripper."

"She’s such a nightmare. Her career’s over...and she looks like a f***ing fairground stripper. She’s been so horrible to Gaga," he said in an interview that aired on Australia’s Channel 7 program Sunday Night.

John's pal Lady Gaga happens to be the godmother of his son Zachary with partner David Furnish. Now, it's true that Madonna hasn't exactly been supportive of Gaga -- even implying that she copied one of her tunes -- but we still think Elton John is being pretty harsh. And knowing Madonna, she'll relish the chance to fire back where it hurts. Do you think Elton John is right about Madge?

Elton John is so right. Madonna is having to use her body to get her name in the media. She is supposed to be a singer not a stripper! It is such a shame she has to stoop that low to get a audience to hear her.

wait... what? she spoke on behalf of pussy riot, gives a concert for peace in israel, she showed her ass in the middle west where its a crime and badly recieved, she deffends gays in st petersburg where you have to pay a fine, criticizes the church, included trayvon martin in one of her videos, talks about liberation of the vasque country, bashes marine le penn for being nazi (with alessa musollini getting angry and all), creates education in malawi and speaks on behalf of ageism

I don't mind Madona and can't say I agree, Elton John seems to think he can say anything he wants because hes Elton John and the fact is he's right, no matter what silly crap comes out of his mouth it's not going to make Tiny Dancer not one of the greatest songs of all time.

Not everyone has liked her style but it is like Gaga, she has her own style just like all of the other artists have their own also.

So it isn't fair for Elton to say her career is over! We could also say the same for him as far as that goes. He needs to let her be!

My feeling is 50/50 on this. Let's face it.. Madonna is a legend. Like her or not, she's been successful for decades and the mention of a Madonna concert sends some folk scurrying for tickets. But she's over the top and trying to do things that she shouldn't even be thinking about at her age.. retire and enjoy the millions you already made and try and keep some dignity for your golden years Madonna... it's really worth it.

If it i people have come along to take over the s not, it should be. Better, more talented and younger people have come along to take over the, semi talented, mostly shock effect kind of entertainment that appeals mostly to the young. Time has passed and she should move on to something else.

Madonna has maybe based a little too much on sex, and it is backfiring now becuase she feels with all the younger women coming out, she needs to prove that she is still sexually desirable. What she doesn't know is that some of the most beautiful women are the ones who don't pretend to be what they are not, and who embrace their age.
That Susan someone is one of those examples. Sixty or near enough, and still gorgeous.

Elton is jealous because Madonna is a woman who is in position to do what she wants, like she always has and at the same time recieves a ton of attention for it,whether it be positive or negative.As for Elton,who's contribution to the world of music has been significant,I think we can safely say that his ship has sailed, and for him that is a bitter pill to swallow.All hail Madonna!!!!
