Elton John Says Madonna's Career Is 'Over,' Compares Her to a 'Stripper': Right On or Dead Wrong?

Don't expect to hear an Elton John-Madonna mash-up anytime soon. In the latest spat in their long-running feud, Elton John told an interviewer that the queen of pop's career is "over"... and that the iconic pop star kind of looks like a "stripper."

"She’s such a nightmare. Her career’s over...and she looks like a f***ing fairground stripper. She’s been so horrible to Gaga," he said in an interview that aired on Australia’s Channel 7 program Sunday Night.

John's pal Lady Gaga happens to be the godmother of his son Zachary with partner David Furnish. Now, it's true that Madonna hasn't exactly been supportive of Gaga -- even implying that she copied one of her tunes -- but we still think Elton John is being pretty harsh. And knowing Madonna, she'll relish the chance to fire back where it hurts. Do you think Elton John is right about Madge?

    Elton John is so right. Madonna is having to use her body to get her name in the media. She is supposed to be a singer not a stripper! It is such a shame she has to stoop that low to get a audience to hear her.

    I agree that women should try to look their best whatever their age, but I find that women who accept their age are most beautiful. That' s just my opinion. my mother is 50 in three days time, and apart from grey hairs, looks about forty even though she hasn't had anything done.
    There are many older women who still perform and lok great: Donna Summer was one- she didn't have to expose her boobs, neither did Shirley Bassey etc. Why is Madonna so insecure?
    Is this a side effect of building up a career based on sexuality?

    Yes! Woman can look beautiful at all ages, but when you get to Madonna's age you need to stop trying to show off your boobs and go for a more elegant look.

    One of my best friends is a drag queen and he did a routine to Girl Gone Wild. It's one of my favourite songs. I think she can still bring it. She's really getting into the new scenes, Gang Bang even features a little dubstep.

    She's been a hoe since she first came out on the 80's. There is nothing unique about her. She has no signature dance moves, she has a mediocre voice, and just all around is not that talented, yet she compares herself to greats such as Whitney Houston, Elvis, and MJ. She SLEPT her way to fame. Not hating, just saying. If anyone says this is untrue they are in denial. Real talk.

    Your language is a little extreme, but you are correct. Thanks for being one of the few to point out that Houston's vocal range was miles superior to Madonna's. Plus she was far more versatile, same for Elvis and MJ.

    While I may not count myself among Sir Elton John's most loyal fans, I definenately
    agree with him one hundred percent on this one. Although Lady Gaga is, also, not one
    of my most favorite artists out there, she is not in any way, shape, or form, deserving of
    ANY of the intentional and overt disrespect that Maddonna has displayed towards her.
    MADdonna's career has already been over for quite a while now. Maddonna definenately
    owes Gaga a sincere and very public apology.

    Madonna has always been a stripper. I saw her nude in magezines long before I ever heard her sing. Did you see her "Girlie Show" tour? There were plenty of bare boobs bouncing around in that, too.
