Elton John Bashes Madonna's Golden Globe Win: Right or Rude?

Award ceremonies always have their winners and their losers, but usually the results are taken into stride by everyone involved. With the exception of that notorious Kanye West moment at the 2009 VMAs, it isn't often you hear complaints from the losing party. However, Elton John and his partner were upset with the loss to Madonna at the Golden Globes on Monday, and they weren't afraid to let everyone know.

After finding out that Madonna's "Masterpiece" took Best Original Song over John's "Hello Hello," Elton's partner tweeted, "Madonna. Best song???? F--- off!!! Madonna winning 'Best Original Song' truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in it's narcissism. And her critisism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is." Do you think the Madonna bash was well deserved -- or totally inappropriate?

Let's see, now. Elton John, a noted musician, making his appraisal of Madonna, a "flash in pan", wacko, with little or no talent. I think I'll go with Elton's assessment as being absolutely "right". Telling the truth in public, though rare these days, is still refreshing rather than "rude".

O' but the paying public can 'Bitchslap' elton john for madonna!!! Don't think he want to find out if the frustrated public will cut off his funds; and pump the funding over to madonna because she create jobs and lots of them. "Angels got her Back" vote for madonna ;-)

I am just going by what I saw Sunday night. I guess Elton is becoming crabby. I do not think they are enemies. though. I thought Madonna still looks great btw.

I am not sure...but it sounds like you hate the lady.
My cousin...who now lives in Hawaii now...was a tech director for some of her original music videos.
I hear she is a very nice person to get to know...but I do not know her personally.

Sounds like Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell! We still have many award shows left. Elton John should be careful about insulting the performer of the halftime show at the Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see who wins the BAFTA Award! If Madonna wins the Oscar, will Elton John invite her to his annual oscar party?
