It's that time of the year again! An estimated 45,000 sweaty nerds descended upon the Los Angeles Convention Center for the orgy of gaming greatness known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo, taking place June 7, 8 and 9.
Nintendo, in the last of the major press conferences, made a splash with the debut of its much-anticipated new console, the WiiU. Though the system actually includes a console, its the 6.2 touch-screen controller that Nintendo is touting as the real game changer.

You can play a game on the controller, or use the controller to play a game via the console on the television. It'll feature motion controls, a gyroscope and the ability to video chat. Nintendo is planning to release the WiiU in 2012. No word on the price yet.
The other big hardware news is the PlayStation Vita, Sony's new handheld console. Nothing particularly huge, innovation-wise, but it's a stacked, gorgeous piece of gaming gear that Sony has already announced will sell for $250.

Boasting a touch screen, augmented reality capabilities and interactivity via 3GS or WiFi, the Via should be available sometime toward the end of the year.
And then there were … the actual games! There are no shortage of big titles this year, most if not all are anticipated additions to beloved series.
Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Revelations is the final storyline for protagonist Ezio, who travels back to 16th century Constantinople, and if you don't think there's a They Might Be Giants joke coming up you are sorely mistaken. Ezio has to find keys hidden in the city by his ancestor Altair before the Templars do. Why? That's nobody's business but the Turks.
Each November brings us turkeys, football and a new Call of Duty game from Activision. This year we have Modern Warfare 3 coming our way, featuring gameplay in New York City, as seen in the trailer below. And Makarov's back!
Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception takes treasure hunter Nathan Drake to the desert in a sequel that gamers have drooled over since its debut trailer last December. Look for it this November.

The games that are out now that I really want to try are Pokemon Black AND White, Halo, & Mortal Kombat c:
The new ps vita, looks nice too.
I think this is a major reason out Pre-Teens and Teens are getting fater and fater, due to sitting on their ass, playing Games.......
I'm personally a big gamer, since my friends live pretty far away and can't hang as often. (Gas prices... bleh...) Though I spend a lot of time sitting and doing nothing, I'm relatively thin, thank you.
Though, like I said, some people probably are affected negatively by it.
Not complaining, just saying, not for me......
Some games are used by Law Enforcement and Military, to check Mental Aptitude, Agility and Thought Process. So, Not a complete waste for the Designers....
Thanks.....
It is impossible for Harmonix to make a bad game :3
WWE 12. Brand new installment of the old Smackdown vs RAW series.
Assassin's Creed Revelation, I'm just upset it's not hitting stores until next March!
