Dr. Phil and his wife, Robin McGraw have been married for 32 years, have 2 children, and continue to have a strong marriage. The two are together forever, and that's the way they like it. The couple has vowed never to divorce. Even after their sons have grown up, Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw still stay strong in their marriage. The couple claim that the key to a thriving and happy marriage is communication and negotiation.

Dr. Phil gives some advice for achieving a healthy marriage;

-You get what you give. When you give better, you get better.
-There is no right or wrong way to fix a relationship. Find your own way that works. But recognize when it's not working and be honest when it needs fixing.
-You don't fix things by fixing your partner.

20 years on the 15th of this month, a great 6 yr old daughter and a sweet guy! I am definitely lucky!! :)

good most of the time... 'good' not 'great' - but i don't believe that very many 'great' ones Really exist. but, neither of us are perfect and therein lies our problem....lol. 19 1/2 years and counting anyway...

my marriage would have been better if another woman didnt brake it up.sadly my husband toke his own life.but great to say my own mum and dad were married for 54years but saddly past away with in the last 2 years.

I'm not gonna lie and say it's all wine and roses, cause there are some issues. But I do have to say that he is willing to talk about things my friends husbands never would even touch. You take the good with the bad. It's work. it's no cake walk. But if it was easy, would it be fun?

Marriage is a living thing and it constantly needs work. 8 yrs and 3 kids later my husband and I are still going strong. Granted there are days where we want to lit eachother on fire..... but passion is good in anything done right. Just don't lite the match ladies! ;-)

I am grateful every day for the wonderful, upstanding man who is my husband and he shows me the same gratitude.

We never take each other for granted, which is a BIG part of the deal AND we support each other every day.

After so many years, it's amazing to me that I was so fortunate to have married my best friend and I cannot get enough of him!

We met and married when we were very young, raised our children and now have grandchildren.

I think perhaps after all these years, I would ask a couple who ask this same question, "Do you like your spouse?" Would you have h/her for a friend? I have to tell you that while I have always loved my husband, there were some times when I didn't like him very much, but more often than not, he has been my most loyal and truest buddy throughout good times and tough times. We celebrated our 45th anniversary yesterday and he wasn't a particularly well liked that day because he plum forgot.

My marriage isn't perfect..but we have the most important ingredients in tact to keep us together.. 1.) We always have each other's back..eg: last year I was having a tough time with stress and letting it get to me wayy too much.. my husband cooked for me and did whatever was necessary to keep me from having a complete nervous breakdown. 2.) We know when the other is suffering and we do whatever needs to be done to reassure the other. eg. My hubby has a friends suffering from some serious troubles.. although I greatly dislike this person and think he shouldn't be friends with her.. I will sit and sympathize if I see it's bothering him..
