Practically seconds after she filed for divorce, Christina Aguilera began publicly dating Matthew Rutler.

Wait a minute. Who the heck is Matthew Rutler?

Unlike his superstar girlfriend, Rutler was just a lowly set assistant on Xtina's latest movie, "Burlesque."

But Aguilera, who turns 30 on Saturday, tells People magazine that Rutler is more than just a low-level production worker -- he's a "special person."

"We had a really strong friendship on the movie," she said. "Once I filed for divorce, we started dating. I'm not trying to jump into anything. I just left a five-year marriage. I'm taking it slow and trying to be happy."

Asked if she's in love, Aguilera said:

"There's a love there, yes. I'm having fun, I'm dating and it's something I haven't had in a really long time. ...He's the kind of person you could spend hours on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it's daylight."

Aguilera's ex, music marketing executive Jordan Bratman, wasn't exactly a world-famous guy either. So what gives?

I find it refreshing to see these rare celebrities accepting more "regular" people, rather than just continuing to inbreed with others in the "royal family."

This guy seems to be bringing her down. She had been the one young singer who never got into trouble until she met this jerk. I think She is a Star but she needs to lose that zero.

Most of these people are so insignificant,why would we spend time on this subject ? Whoever they are dating today will be history in a proverbial New York minute. Probably some of these overpaid lightweights will read this opinion poll,see that we think they are doing poorly in the dating department and will immediately go in search of new flesh.

Celebrities seem to marry and divorce quite often when they're married to other celebrities. Maybe the best way to avoid that fate is to find someone who isn't another celebrity. If these couples are happy with each other, why does anyone care about whom they are dating.

Britney was terrible in choosing who she's hooked up with. K-Fag was her worst EVER. Alba could do SO much better than what's she's been "lured" into. Even douche-bags get hot women - but those women tend to behave stupid - because when they see the money or looks they carry around - they forget they NEED an equal scaled personality to go with it.

I think you love somebody for who they are, and not how much money or looks they have on they're side. It doesnt matter in the long run, obviously they see something in who they're with and it's none of our business.
