The world lost another award-winning pop star. This time, it was the Queen of Disco. Donna Summer, best known for dance floor singles like "Hot Stuff," "Last Dance," and "She Works Hard for the Money," passed away at the age of 63 on Thursday morning.
Cause of death is unconfirmed at this time, but sources close to her reveal that she had been struggling with breast cancer. Summer first came to prominence in 1975 with the first-ever extended for disco track, "Love to Love You Baby." Between 1976 and 1979, she released seven more albums, containing several iconic disco tracks, like "I Feel Love" and "MacArthur Park."
She also received an Academy Award for her 1978 song "Last Dance," off the soundtrack of "Thank God It's Friday." Summer went on to release more than 15 studio albums, winning her five Grammys and spawning countless chart-topping singles. What's your favorite song from Donna Summer?

A total change of tempo and style which was wonderful... I went straight out and bought the single! Ah vinyl... those were the days...
Just to make things clear. When I talk Crap (Lady Goo, Nicki Minaj and the such).
RIP Miss Summer
May she rest in peace.
I am apart of the younger generation and I think her music is awesome.
Why do all the good oldies singers have to pass away these days? They are icons!
hispanics, and native americans. Another great american icon has crossed the river Jorden this year.
I was going to say something. But i think everyone here summed it up;-] RIP Donna Summer and thank you;-]
