Donald Trump Insults Arianna Huffington: What Is Donald Trump's Fiercest Feud?
Trump vs. Robert De Niro
Trump vs. Arianna Huffington
In his most recent smackdown, Trump went after Arianna Huffington, calling her “unattractive both inside and out.” The HuffPost head retorted, “We've always wondered what's under the bottom of the barrel.”
Trump vs. Robert De Niro
De Niro didn’t name names but clearly was trashing Trump when he called him a “car salesman” over the Obama Birther controversy. The Donald fired back, saying the actor wasn’t “the brightest bulb on the planet.”
Trump vs. Jerry Seinfeld
In another Birther blow, Seinfeld pulled out of Trump’s son Eric’s charity event at St. Jude’s in 2011. Trump took a swing back, saying he wished he’d bowed out of his slot on Jerry’s show “The Marriage Ref.”
Trump vs. Gloria Allred
After Trump’s Miss Universe refused to let a transgender woman compete, Gloria Allred swept in. The attorney hit below the belt, saying she didn’t have “a magnifying glass strong enough” to see the Donald’s manhood.
Trump vs. Cher
After the singer-actress tweeted a negative comment about Mitt Romney, Trump rushed to his defense and called her “a total loser.” Obviously he forgot about her Emmy, Oscar and Grammy awards.
Trump vs. Carrie Prejean
Trump told Carrie Prejean “You’re fired” because she skipped scheduled appearances. Miss California contends it was a political move over her stance against gay marriage. Either way, their battle wasn’t pretty.
Trump vs. Rosie O’Donnell
Trump’s longest and ugliest feud came to at least a temporary end last week. After O’Donnell announced she had suffered a heart attack, Donald tweeted, “Get better fast. I'm starting to miss you!" Will it last?
Trump vs. Barbara Walters
Rushing to the defense of O’Donnell, her then-“The View” co-star, Barbara Walters called Trump a “poor, pathetic man.” Trump retaliated on Letterman, telling Dave that Baba Wawa was “off his list.”
Perhaps it’s not surprising that the man who tried to copyright the phrase “You’re fired” would take every opportunity possible to speak out against his foes. But his angry rants started to lose their impact when he started unleashing them so very frequently.
Trump used to turn to traditional outlets, such as the New York Post and the “Late Show with David Letterman,” to air his grievances. But now that he has Twitter at his fingertips, Trump seems to be taking his controversial opinions to a whole new level.
Just ask Ariana Huffington, who suffered his wrath earlier this week. She may be the latest, but she certainly isn’t the first. From Rosie O’Donnell and Robert De Niro to Barbara Walters and Carrie Prejean, the real estate mogul-turned-reality star has been on a rampage for years.
