DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER SCREWED UP AGAIN...WOULD YOU GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE?

BRADY969 November 01, 2007 10:53:20

DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER'S RACIST RANT -- CAUGHT ON TAPE!

Dog Chapman has been captured spewing foul-mouthed racist slurs on a tape obtained exclusively by The NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

And now a civil rights leader is calling for Dog's TV show to be removed from the airwaves.

In a shocking world exclusive The ENQUIRER has obtained tapes of two revolting phone conversations in which Duane "Dog" Chapman unleashes a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults.

The star of the A&E reality show Dog, The Bounty Hunter directed his racist hatred at his son Tucker's girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black.

"Dog Chapman should not have a show. That show should be taken off the air!"

That's the opinion of prominent civil rights leader Roy Innis, who has served as the chairman of the Congress for Racial Equality (CORE) since 1968. Innis was shocked and outraged when The ENQUIRER played Dog Chapman's racist telephone conversations for him.

"This man should not be held up as a role model for children," Innis told The ENQUIRER. "He has venom deep in his soul. This is a picture of his heart — a revelation of his true nature.

Innis believes that cable network A&E needs to take swift action in response to Dog's vicious outburst.

"He needs to answer for his behavior," says Innis.

"When someone gets the opportunity to use the airwaves, he becomes a role model, whether he likes it or not. Dog Chapman should not be in that position, posing as a good guy.

"His comments show that he certainly is not a good guy."

    Yes

He didn't use his show as a vehicle for his hateful spew, so why should his show be sanctioned for something that was not intended to be publically broadcasted?

Many people have "venom deep in their soul" and we still allow them to be celebrities.

Firing him would the height of ridiculousness IMO.

Let the guy have his TV show, let the ratings decide for them self. This is the only realty show I watch. I have never viewed him as a "role model". Yes he does tell the criminals what they did wrong as trys to help them. But you is just exserizing his right of freedom of speech. We need to stop caring so much about peoples personal life and let them do there job.

he has a right to opinions, however bigoted they might be... however considering that he represents himself as a Christian and obviously has issues that need to be sorted out, how about a compromise: put his show on hiatus until he sorts his stuff out?

From what I have seen, Christians are right up there with Muslims as being the most judgmental people in the world. I'm not sure if they haven't read the Bible, or they are operating on the "Oh, I can ask for forgiveness later" option. Personally, I think Christians have shown themselves to be extremely judgmental in these polls.

First of all, I don't view Dog as any kind of role model for anyone.
Secondly, what he says and does in his personal life should not affect his career. I know plenty of people who aren't "good guys" at home, but they don't lose their job over it.

Well...I'm kind of suspect of something like this...why was the conversation being taped in the first place? Set up or publicity stunt? Either way, I don't watch Dog so I don't care whether his show is cancelled or not.

I agree, his personal life is irrelevant to his tv show. Martha Stewart's crime was irrelevant to her tv show and she's officially a convict now. Duane's personal life is for him to figure out, but the show shouldn't be involved because it has absolutely nothing to do with what Duane believes.

I don't know the entire story...just hearing about it now. There should be punishment for bigotry even words shouted out in the heat of an argument. Apologies may help...it depends on what happened at the time and if this is an isolated incident or part of a pattern of behavior.

Well if you watch his show every time he catches a fugitive he
cusses them out calling them cruel names sometimes putting in the fact
that they use drugs then when he is on the way to the jail he talks
about God saying that you can turn your life around maybe he is a
hypocrite but who has a so in that catagory the point is that he
disrespected someone that is dating one of children and he has to call
them the N-word ok black ppl hardly ever say the N-word so what gives
him the right to say it? he has no right to!!! thats like calling
someone the F-word no one is going to take that off of anyone last time
that I checked a celeb got in trouble for that....calling someone the
N-word is just as bad as calling someone the F-word and being a role
model makes ppl lash out at you and hate you and your show so I do like
Dog but he has no right to say the N-word and I will not give him
    another chance

I understand the sensitive outrage everyone is throwing out there but does anyone read that it was a recorded phone call submitted to the Enquirer?

That would be like you having a conversation, and you voice controvertial views, and then the person you are on the phone with makes it public record without your knowledge, it is a violation of this man's privacy.

From what I understand the show is not racially biased, again I do not watch crap like that, and quite frankly if in public he is tolerant, his private life does not matter....

I cannot believe that someone actually connected his name with the words "role model"? I think I read that in the post but could not believe my eyes. I watched one show, start to finish and that was enough for me. Talk about really bad television. I have a friend who watches the show like it is almost a religious experience. I do not understand how he watches this stuff. Did I mention I think it is really, really bad T.V.? As far as him being booted from his cable network channel, I could care less what they do with him. A few things "Dog", first get a freakin' haircut, apparently you did not get the memo about "mullets", also buy a mirror. Work on your verbal and communications skills. Last but certainly not least, work on being a little more tolerant of others, take a few courses in cultural diversity training. "Dog" a role model? Yeah, and I am the King of Florida !

No, Dog Chapman said that it's not about race but yet he sure made it about race. And the thing that gets me... who is he to complain about someone's character when he himself has had run ins with the law? What about his character? Talking about someone who definitely suffer from delusions of grandeur. Well hopefully the networks will make another example out of him like they did Don Imus. Freedom of speech don't mean that you can say whatever you want to and that be it... after you say whatever it is that you want to, you also have to be willing to take the heat that might come after you've spoken your peace.

I think Dog is going to be another one who bites the dust and his show is going to be hanked off the air. Unlike Don though, I don't think Dog will have a come back... at least I hope not.

Well it is on CNN now too. From what I have read and seen it looks a bit like a nice little publicity stunt. Why else would he say in his comments something to the nature of having this phone conversation being but on the NE. Did he know they were taping him? Was it all planned???
  • B4Real2Me whatever November 01, 2007 12:23:18
    B4Real2Me
Well even if it was a publicity stunt, I think it's back firing on him and already his show has been pulled until further notice. I'm sure once the usual people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson get on the case that further notice is going to be a notice of cancellation. But of course I can see Dog already doing all the morning shows giving his side of the story and doing damage control like he did after he caught that killer and got thrown in jail himself. But this damage I don't think (hope) he'll be able to recover from.

Who knows why some people do things? Maybe he wanted to get out of his contract with AE. Not really worth me even pondering. I have seen his show a time or two. Nothing I would sit down and watch every night. The first time he got arrested though was for a good cause. Bringing a criminal to justice. I will give him that. As far as Sharpton and Jackson go. if they get involved it might actually help him more than hurt him.
  • B4Real2Me whatever November 01, 2007 12:49:57
    B4Real2Me
Yeah I agree that Dog took down a bad guy, but he broke the law himself in doing so.

I think Al Sharpton is not going to have any other choice but to get involved in this, for no other reason than not to give Don Imus any ammunition to use against him. I can see if Al didn't get involve that Don could come out against Al and ask why slam him but let Dog off the hook when he (Don) didn't even use the almighty 'N' word yet Dog did. So to prevent that from happening, Al might have to get involved but considering the show has already been pulled… maybe he won’t because the network has already did what Al would have wanted them to do. However, after a week or two and they continue the show… Al might step up to the plate and get involved. We’ll just have to wait to see… stay tune.

Dog has a right to say whatever he wishes whether in public or in private...HOWEVER as the public we also have rights....and MY right is not to cater to anyone who on his show calls people BROTHER (friendly) and talk about GOD...and pray and then...speak what was claimed to have been said.

It's a double minded person....and I (personally) can't trust that kind of person.

Principles are important when you are attempting to trust someone.......after all isn't that why many hated or disliked President Clinton?

He was in a position of status, integrity, married, every now and then talked the talk and yet displayed IN PRIVATE, something else.

Dog, obviously isn't in the same capacity as President Clinton HOWEVER, in principle....TO ME....it's the same.

Racism will always be a subject matter in this country...and depending on which side of the fence you're on.....that's how you'll see it.

You are correct, but I am certain he did not sell the tape of him saying these things to the enquirer, it is in the same respect of a tape leaking to the internet of him being intimate with his wife. Does it make him a bad role model? The fact is he can be as hypocritical as he wants in his own home, as far as this article says he did not take it to the street, which is something we find in a lot of stars today....

Racism is wrong, but he did not publicly display it...

Don't you think it's better to see a snake and know where he is or is headed as in being aware of his presence then to walk up on him by surprise not knowing he was there all the time?

Now...if we're talking about war games then I agree...it's a good thing to sneak up but when you're trying to deal with folk....or talk about integrity and honor.......it's a good thing to know where their heart is or where they're coming from.....don't you think?

Do not get me wrong it is NOT a good thing....

But kept in private it is his business and not anyone elses, it is a violation of his privacy buy the seller of the tape.

If anyone was racist and they kept it in their private life, it is their business, not public.

What an entertainer does outside of public view is really not as important...

I can gather the scenario, the son probably egged on the father, and then recorded the converasation once it began getting belligerent, but that is what I can assume off the information given here....
