Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow put together a magical run with his team in the 2011 season and playoffs. The NFL's feel-good story was Tebow, a quarterback that many analysts said couldn't be successful on the pro level, winning and winning and winning. The Broncos may have lost three straight games heading into the playoffs, but at 8-8, they picked up enough wins with Tebow as their QB to win the AFC West and get homefield advantage for at least one game.
In a huge upset, the Broncos defeated the heavily-favored Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card round, eliminating the Super Bowl favorites from the playoffs. The next week wasn't so great for fans of the Broncos and TebowMania, as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were dominant. There were no fourth quarter comebacks for Tebow and questions popped up again on whether he has the passing ability to consistently hang with the best teams -- and withstand the toughest defenses the league has to offer.
Have no fear, Broncos fans. Tebow gets another shot in 2012, assuming he continues to improve and defy his critics' low expectations."Well, I think Tim's earned the right to be the starting quarterback going into training camp next year," Broncos boss John Elway declared at the beginning of a 40-minute news conference, according to ESPN.com."I think he made some good strides this year," Elway said. "He obviously played very well against Pittsburgh and played very well in a lot of football games." Do you think Tim Tebow deserves to start this year?

Having said that, I will also say he has now had his year to figure out his weaknesses and strengths. No more excuses. He must come out and be consistently good at the sart of the season, or he deserves to be benched like Kyle Orton was and the Broncos should move in another direction. My heart tells me that that is exactly what is going to happen. He just doesn't have what it takes to be great QB in the NFL as far as I can see. As a die hard Bronco fan, I hope I am wrong only because it would be nice to have that piece of the puzzle filled so they can fill in the other pieces and not have to focus on that one.
but i think Tim will be a good nfl qb if john works with him... why not? bark
I suspect that if he is not pulled early, he will end up injured.
