We figured it was coming, but Perez Hilton has just confirmed it. "Thor," this year's early summer superhero blockbuster, is getting a sequel.

It would appear that our sense of smell was working correctly, because Disney and Marvel Studios are moving forward with Thor 2, and they've given it a release date of July 26, 2013.

That sounds pretty specific for something that's still more than two years away, but that means there's a good chance it's happening.

The first movie made an impressive $66 million its opening weekend, so from a monetary standpoint there really isn't much to consider. The film's quality, however, is up for debate.

Not a sequel how about American Gods by Neil Gaiman?Odin, Loki in an already written modern day plot. Ther is actually enough material for two or even three movies.

I really liked Thor! It got a little touchy feely for my taste,but over all I loved it! But then again,I confess I'm a bit of a nerd.

A big budget and CGI are no substitute for an intresting plot and charater development, and gratuitous shirtless muscle bound moist panty fest was just cheesy and pointless what the movie really needed was some B(@)(@)IES!!!!!

The first one was fun. It wasn't Doctor Zhivago or anything but it was pretty good and set the table well for what could be a really good second flick, so I say yes.
