I'll be the first to say that they're aren't the best actors/actresses, and I'm an HP fan.
But if horrible movies like Twilight get nominated, then the HP actors should. Twilight gets WAY too much praise for such a crappy series.
Maybe not an Oscar win, but a nomination would be nice.
Does the Cast of 'Harry Potter' Deserve Acting Oscars?

Emma Watson said she was sickened by how much money she's making on the "Harry Potter" movies, but the highest-grossing film series of all time has left its cast Oscar-less.
In fact, the "Harry Potter" series hasn't won a single Academy Award.
Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, told This Is London, "We don't expect [to be nominated.] Either way, the final movie will be huge. We did some re-shoots at the end of the year. We're really going to go out with a bang. That's everyone's goal really. It's kind of going to be pretty epic."
The crew might have a shot, though. The art and effects departments have been nominated again this year for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1," giving the series a total of nine Oscar nominations since the first film came out in 2001.
"It would be great to see the technical [team] recognition," Grint added. "They devote their whole lives to it."
But what about an acting nomination for Daniel Radcliffe, Grint or Watson? Do they deserve it?

GO TECH CREW!!!
yes,and i have to agree the actors arent all GREAT!! but the story is great....
I hope that the whole cast and crew of Harry Potter will get recognized for their beautiful work. These films are amazing, films I will watch for years to come with the future children of my life. But, I also want to point out that the amount of money these films make should also be a testament of how much these films are loved by the masses.
The OSCARS, I am sure, much like any of the other award shows, is probably driven largely by politics (Golden Globes best case in point: The Tourist...I mean really???) and most of the time, movies that do really well rarely get notice .
But, I do hope that they get the recognition they deserve, especially for the last film. They all did a fantastic job!!!!!
Edit-I meant to say no.
I saw the movie, and I honestly thought they did a great job. I was especting some recognition.
But if Sandra Bullock can get an Oscar, I'm sure anyone can.
