Seems like Robert Pattinson isn’t taking any chances when it comes to keeping his fans at bay.
According to co-star Kellan Lutz, our favorite pasty vampire is now employing 11 bodyguards to shield and protect his movie star magnificence from the screaming, teeming masses.
Lutz tells Parade magazine, “We’ve all stayed so down to earth, and it’s just funny to see life change for the people around us, especially Rob. It’s like, when a fan lunges at him and you only see one bodyguard around, and then 10 more jump out of the crowd, where they’ve been hiding. God, it’s crazy to think about needing a bodyguard, but Rob can’t take any chances. He’s a heartthrob, but he’s also a great guy and we all love him because he hasn’t changed as a person.”
However, even thought Pattinson is, as Lutz says, a heartthrob, apparently he’s not as good a kisser as Dakota Fanning -- at least according to Pattinson’s rumored girlfriend and co-star, Kristen Stewart. In an interview with New York magazine, Stewart says that she and Dakota should have won Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards for their girl-on-girl lip lock in “The Runaways.”
Ouch. And that’s coming from your own girlfriend. Well, here’s the upside, R-Patz. With this insider info on your lackluster kissing, fans might cool down and that bodyguard staff can then be trimmed. It’s a win-win!
