But that's ok. I'm married, 3 grown kids, play in a blues band, a country band and a Christian rock band, I'm a sound engineer and own a sound reinforcement company and I love orchestra music too. I love running sound for chamber and symphony orchestras. So we are good company!
NO WAY! Your perfectly fine with liking it, I used to think the same thing, but once I took a yr of orchestra, I fell in luv with it, so in my opinion its not weird to like it =)
Absolutely not. If classified as weird then you're in the company of many famous people, not to mention the rest of us who also like orchestra music.
Personally I like almost all music. ie: Big bands, easy listening, jazz, blues, bluegrass, country, classical and some early rock and roll (Chubby Checkers.)
Do not like metal, hard metal or anything resembling metal, hip hop, reggae and most of todays, uh, music, but then again I'm from a much different era when music had a melody. and one didn't have to scream to create, music? Today, not so much.
It means you have a wider range of musical interests than the average person. I like jazz. I play jazz in my classroom. And here's something interesting, I get the BEST behavior and artwork when I play jazz. I like Chopin, Vivaldi, Beethoven (especially the sonatas) and Mozart.
You can listen to whatever you want. I like Mannheim Steamroller. I consider them to be what I call excelerated orchestration. They are VERY fun to see in concert ! I have seen them 5 times ! I think the only other groups I have seen that much are Styx and Jethro Tull !
No, try Rufus Wainwright, Emilie Autumn, and the Brian Setzer Orchestra they are all orchestra music with elements of rock.Jazz is orchestra with blues etc elements.Have fun.
I dig guitar and orchestra music. I like both western and eastern orchestras.I think it means
you are openminded if you dig both orchestra and guitar. If you dont like guitar then your not so openminded but still you have the right to listen to whatever you please."The thing
about rights is they are not supposed to be voted on.Thats why they are called rights.''Rachel Maddow
Music inflames temprament. Music can be about abstract or symbolic thought or it can be about emotion."Music is sound ordered by time and/or time ordered by sound." Composer and Professor Robert Greenburg."Music is your special friend. Dance on fire as it intends." Jim Morrison
What I mean is, there are many "orchestral" genres. If you said, for instance, that you're into elevator muzak, then that would be kinda weird. "Classical" music, not so much. ;)
Your favorite music should be the music that makes you happy. That's what music is about. It's what makes the world go round. Whatever kind it is doesn't matter to be honest
your different from everybody else.
