Game 1 of the NBA Finals delivered as an exciting affair on Tuesday night. It was indeed a tale of two halves. In the first half, the Miami Heat seemed just a step faster and more poised that the young Oklahoma City Thunder. In the second half, OKC 'Thundered up' and rallied a comeback to win the game by a final score of 105-94. It wasn't so much the Heat played a bad game. They were just outplayed.
But in any loss, someone always has to take the blame and no one seems to take the most blame more than the Heat's LeBron James, who is the reigning league MVP. LeBron led the Heat in scoring with 30 points, while his teammates Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade combined for 29. The Heat's bench didn't give LeBron much help either. That didn't stop '#BlameItOnLeBron' from trending on Twitter though.
Whether it's social media or ESPN's resident debater Skip Bayless, many seem to blame LeBron for his team's losses, especially in the postseason. While he notably didn't step up the in fourth quarter of last year's NBA Finals series against the 2011 champion Dallas Mavericks, he's acknowledged his shortcomings and has played great this postseason. Besides, isn't basketball a team game?

- Kern 2012/06/13 19:00:42 (edited)No+4LeBron did this to himself. Leaving Cleavland the way he did, with a very stupid TV stunt, he deserves all of the bad press he's getting. Like another poster said, it's Karma.reply

+1Right on, man!reply - obi_have 2012/06/13 17:24:16Yes+2How is it LeBron's fault that OKC coaches made a great adjustment after the first quarter? Lebron played well, OKC played better.reply

Karma is dictated by the cosmos or a unseen force, not by people's decision to hate on him.reply - Eugene M 2012/06/13 16:55:44Yes+1I don't think anyone blames Lebron more than Lebron himself. Whenever they lose he says things like he let the team down or he has to step up and so on. Since he acknowledges blame there as those that will agree with him. He puts that burden on his ownself.reply
