Does LeBron James Get Too Much Blame?

Game 1 of the NBA Finals delivered as an exciting affair on Tuesday night. It was indeed a tale of two halves. In the first half, the Miami Heat seemed just a step faster and more poised that the young Oklahoma City Thunder. In the second half, OKC 'Thundered up' and rallied a comeback to win the game by a final score of 105-94. It wasn't so much the Heat played a bad game. They were just outplayed.

But in any loss, someone always has to take the blame and no one seems to take the most blame more than the Heat's LeBron James, who is the reigning league MVP. LeBron led the Heat in scoring with 30 points, while his teammates Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade combined for 29. The Heat's bench didn't give LeBron much help either. That didn't stop '#BlameItOnLeBron' from trending on Twitter though.

Whether it's social media or ESPN's resident debater Skip Bayless, many seem to blame LeBron for his team's losses, especially in the postseason. While he notably didn't step up the in fourth quarter of last year's NBA Finals series against the 2011 champion Dallas Mavericks, he's acknowledged his shortcomings and has played great this postseason. Besides, isn't basketball a team game?

It's sad when ANY team expects an individual to lead them.

A lot of people would argue you tooth and nail that he is, he's often compared to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. The whole team has to show up, more times than not, LeBron has his game face on, he has the makings of being a champ. He's young, he's had to mature, but I believe that if he gets that support that he needs, his dream of becoming NBA champs is in the making, I hope that it is this year.

He shouldn't have made that 7 ring comment. It's just a coincident that that it was just one higher than Jordan's. LOL. I dislike Jordan because of is arrogance. Now I dislike LeBron for the same reason. "The Decision" should've been announced when that season ended. He knew he wasn't staying. He could've respected those fans better than that. They thought it was a possibility of him staying and spent money on advertising to get him to stay. Turning it into a TV special. Really. I like Wade and Bosh but I really don't either one of them getting a ring while on the team with LeBron because that means he'll get one.

He is an arrogant, egotistical, moron. The only thing he has going for him is that he can play a little ball. He thinks he is better then he really is and so do most of his fans.

The only way this guy could compete with Jordan is maybe, just maybe, he started advertising "Fruit of the Loom".

Lebron came into the league and not long after claimed to be the chosen one. He also left Cleveland in a very disrespectfull fashion and maybe gave thousand's of people reasons to hate him. However, common sense demands that we do not blame one person for a team's loss.

but PLAY BETTER IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF THE FINALS! Its just another game, you play it every year, you think the Heat should of ran over the Thunder in game 1? smh on letting easy shots allowed in the paint. James scored 2 pts in 10 mins of the 4th. It was TIED AFTER 3. The Heat was leading for 2 quaters and 11:55. mins of the 3rd. smh. Shut Up your Haters Lebron, and hold up that Finals Trophy at the end of the day.

You wanna come in to the franchise doing all the posturing then you better get it done. To be fair, neither he, Wade, or Bosh have pulled it together. They are three individuals who don't or aren't consolidating with their team mates to become "one." Too many ego's.

Remind me, why shouldn't he get the blame? When he's this cocky, he deserves it. No doubt he's one of the greatest players in the NBA. But his arrogance is getting the best of him.
