Does Kim Kardashian Deserve a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Kim Kardashian wants a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame -- but the Walk of Fame doesn't want her.

The reality star told V Magazine that she would "love to break that mold" and earn a spot on the prestigious Walk. But a rep for The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce tells the Hollywood Reporter:

"Part of criteria in being honored is receiving awards such as Emmy’s, SAG Awards, Oscars etc. in the category of Television, Live Stage Performance or Motion Pictures. They have to have a career in the business of acting for five years or more."

Reality shows may be more scripted than their stars would have you believe, but as far as legitimate acting goes, Kim has only had a guest role on "Drop Dead Diva" and a part in a Tyler Perry movie. That said, like it or not, she certainly is a "star" ... do you think she deserves a spot on the Walk of Fame?

Asinine proposal. She has not entertained me. She didn't make some amazing film that touched the world. She definitely doesn't deserve to be among the greats that are there.

Now if there was a walk of fame for big asses or sex tapes ... she should definitely have one of those.

According to the criteria to have a star in their name, she doesnt fit the bill. The only thing she is huge for is people "knowing" her & her name. She hasn't done anything credible to deserve that star. I can think of many others who should get one, far before her, or instead of her really.....

Pop in a movie,TV role, or music video for 5 minutes does not make her an actress. Neither does demanding 50 to 100 K to show up at a party of any kind. I know enough history of the Walk of Fame,and she or any of the Kardashians do not qualify

Oh, for Ghu's sake! Those stars are for people who have done something worthwhile for the arts and entertainment world. The woman is not a performer of any note whatsoever. Nor has she done anything worthy of the honor. She's just made a career out of being famous.

That's very true, but even among the gliteratti of rich celebrities and their ubiquitous surgeries, personal trainers and artificial sweeteners, she stands out. Even in tabloid "stars without their makeup" pictures she decends only about as far as "really really hot."

Yes, it would be nice to see her finally get her act together - she seems so oblivious. I had envisioned that one day, she would ultimately tell her story, after sobering up - to Oprah or someone (like Robert Downey did).

I totally agree. Maybe we should have another street designated for the "Walk of Shame" where we can put stars of reality television.
