Pin thin actress Keira Knightley was quoted as saying...“‘Weight is a big issue in Hollywood because I’m twice the size - height and everything else - of most of the girls who are going in to see the director for a part. When you realize that I am, at my size, one of the largest actresses there, you start to think, ‘I don’t think it’d be healthy for me to stay here much longer.’” Does she have Body Dysmorphic Disorder?

    No....if anything she is remarking on the ridiculous standard set in Hollywood. Fat?! The second picture down, those are a set of toned abs! If she can maintain where she is and not suffer any nutritional deficiancy problems, more power to her.

    I always thought she kicked ass anyway.

    My question is, what the hell is body dysmorphic disorder? I had never heard of this until recently. I'm guessing that it's just something to enable people with eating disorders to say it's not their fault that they have low self esteem or self control.

    She just thinks she's skinny based on what she sees in the media. She's too skinny for me, but I mean, there are a lot of women like her. Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan. This happens all the time. It's sad, but what's new?

    Just like other young women these days, Keira struggles to be this perfect image that Hollywood has of women....This is very sick!!!These girls don't realize how horrible this is for their health!! I just feel really sad that girls/women can't love themselves for who they are!!!

    I think that's how Hollywood truly is. I remember when I was a kid and we all thought Ethel Mertz was the "fat one." Now I see the old I Love Lucy shows and think Ethel wasn't fat! Lucy was tall and thin and Ethel was just larger than her. Why did we think she was FAT? I think it's something we have to come to grips with, because I think we're doing an injustice to our little girls.

    Who in their right mind would walk around in a bikini looking like that? Belly all hanging out and thunder thighs in full effect. There is such a thing as a gym, you know.



    HaHaHa... If she had any less fat on her body she'd be a skeleton. Hollywood has serious emotional effects on actors and actresses, not to mention the viewing public. Eating disorders and drug use being the result of these skewed perceptions. Why can't we just put "real" people in movies and be satisfied with their acting skills? Give the younger people something realistic to look up to instead of starving themselves to fit a size 0. Do we have to nitpick every person's flaw and make them feel badly about themselves? No human is perfect and never will be.

    She DOES NOT look anything like the mother in whats eating gilbert grape. that is really in-sensitive of you. She is NOT obese. Could she stand to lose 10 to 20 lbs? yes. But so could 99% of girls out there. I read in an interview that she said she doesn't exercise or watch what she eats. That sends out a dangerous message to kids esp. girls that they shouldn't work out. Keira should lose some weight, get in shape, and be a better role model. But she'll never be able to do that with people like you hating on her.

    Big girls need some luvin too... Ill give some luvin to Keira, but only after she takes a month-long fast, converts to an all liquid diet, and drops that HUGE beer belly. Candy, you really remind me of this pooch I used to own:
