Justin Bieber isn't the kind of guy who you would picture involved in a bloody fist fight. But his latest photo shoot for Complex magazine's 10th-year anniversary issue (the "knock-out" special edition, if you will) depicts Bieber doing just that -- and it's got us wondering about violence and glamour.

Both the magazine's cover shot and internal layout show the 18-year-old pop star in different positions of bloody battle -- and it ain't pretty. As someone who's often criticized for looking "too feminine," this is definitely the complete opposite end of the stick. But does it go overboard in its artistic agenda?

Sure, the photo shoot would be a lot more controversial had, say, a woman been on the cover and getting their butt beat. But as some would argue, there's a pretty thin line between Bieber and women. (Ouch. Now that's gotta hurt.) No, but really: just because the Biebs is a dude doesn't mean the photo shoot gets a free pass at harmless fun. But you tell us. Do you think Justin Bieber's latest photo shoot for Complex magazine went too far? Or do you think it's just artistic expression at its finest?

I'm not clear about what's the reason for this photo shoot. Is this for a Mark Ecco clothing line? A Bieber coming-of-age photo statement--I'm gonna start fighting back? An upcoming movie starring Bieber? Too bad he didn't get to land a few...it might have helped his image.
