The NATIONAL ENQUIRER's political bombshell comes just weeks after Edwards emphatically denied having an affair with Rielle Hunter, who formerly worked on his campaign.
Reille, when contacted in person by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER, denied that she was Reille Hunter. Later, she hired a lawyer and issued a statement, saying that Andrew Young is the father.
But a source close to the 43-year-old divorcee says Rielle has told a far different story privately.
"Rielle told me she had a secret affair with Edwards. When she found out that she was pregnant she said he was the father."

I do care if people intentionally lied to hurt John Edwards or if he and his campaign lie to us.
In a way I don't care about his or any politician's personal life. However, it does say a lot about someone's character how he/she behaves and makes decisions. In some ways people will praise a father of a love child for not getting an abortion. Then they'd criticize him for having extra-marital relations and not practicing safe sex.
It's the standard by which all other hair is judged.
