Does Hollywood Encourage Teen Promiscuity?

Hollywood encourages promiscuity of all ages.

I dunno, ya think?!?

Too much evidence for the yes... I know sex sells...but that's half the problem... isn't it paedophilia? Sure they might be clothed but that's beside the point. Men aren't the most intelligent creatures on the planet and when it comes to sex, even less so.

Think about it just a moment, what other animal in the world displays sexual courtship dances, makes themselves look really pretty to appeal to everyone else and then expects no sex to be involved.

(Before I get yelled at, I'm not talking about rape in the slightest, that's wrong and the dipstick should know it. What I am talking about is people complaining about rising sex rates and then go watch some other show with underage (USA standards) wearing next to nothing)

Of course it does, that's why I hate celebrities that are bad role model to those who looks up to them.

hence why I discourage my kids from watching most Television made after 1980

well thats obvious. it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure THAT one out. sex is ALL over the tv and as we all know teens have naturally highly active hormones and active sex drives so showing sex on tv does NOT help keep teens from becoming pregnant/making others pregnant. people say they want to help troubled teens and keep young girls off the street or keep them from sleeping around with many guys or keep teen guys from making teen girls pregnant but yet we have sex splashed ALL OVER the media (and sorry to burst your bubble people but the media has a HELLUVA LOT to do with our choices. its all about propaganda). it really doesnt help AT ALL. in FACT. it just makes things worse. its all about the influence in the propaganda. and whats worse is that many modern parents let their LITTLE children watch movies with sex scenes. do they not GET that when the kid gets in their early teens they are gonna want to try a "piece of the action"? so my simple answer is YES. the media GREATLY encourages teens to sleep around or feel the urge and desire to do so. teen pregnancy? MEDIA NOT HELPING. aids and hiv in young teens? MEDIA NOT HELPING. i think you all get my drift here. and anyone who disagrees with what im saying here really needs to open their eyes and look at the obvious. THE MEDIA IS NOT HELPING PREVENT TEEN VICES. NOT NOT NOT.

They are paying teens to follow them around SIMPLY because they became pregnant ! What do you think ? Other teens see this and think wow ! I can be famous too, I just gotta get pregnant ! Maybe they will, maybe they won't but they just see easy street for getting knocked up !!

When parents are not monitor the child's activities nor being the good role models, yes TV is role modeling poor choices as a substitute role model.

Not every child or tween or teen sees a celebirty and says im gonna dress like that
because so and so dressing like so im gonna dress like that .

So it doesn't encourage it? Its not the cause of promiscuity sure, but you can hardly say it doesn't play on their desires thus encouraging them.

It's more than Hollywood, but I still don't think it encourages underage sex. Pus, if the kids are getting into these activities, it's a bit of a fault on the parents. They should be more attentive to their kids and make sure they raise their kids correctly.

Raising their kids correctly would include monitoring what their minds are ingesting, yes?

There are people who actually believe it doesn't? I guess it depends on your definition of promiscuity.

You're right; Hollywood is only part of the problem. The entertainment industry at large has been corrupted by the same evil. Music, TV—all have been seduced by "sex sells," and in the process are selling sex, and selling humanity's soul to sin.

There is a lot of money to be made by exploiting the teen sex drive.

Too bad the kids lives are ruined in the process.

There's a lot to be said for ignorant conservatives who don't TALK to their children about sex so that no matter what they may see or what they may hear - they know they can talk to their parents about it. Kids are ruined by parents who don't bother.
