Some young girls have gotten a romantic view of sex from Hollywood too, so they refuse to have sex unless it has all the romantic hollywood aspects to it. Others have picked up the "it's okay to sleep around" message.
I think it comes down to personality, some people are going to be more drawn to the message that promiscuity is cool, while others are going to discard that message by nature and want romance and love in their life. Teenage guys by nature are more likely to enjoy the idea of promiscuity being cool, because naturally their body is telling them to be promiscuous at that age.
We can't really control teens, just teach them the basics of safety and responsibility and teach them the risks involved in the decisions they make. Then hope they make the right ones and don't screw up their lives.
The answer is, all of the above.
Anyway... Perhaps, but there's more to the problem then movies alone. What about TV, Magazines & the like. My question is, "Why are teens being allowed to go see those movies?" Where are the parents who are supposed to be supervising their kids, protecting them from their own stupidity?" I THINK THAT STUDY FALLS VERY SHORT!
YET ANOTHER EXCUSE FOR POOR PARENTING.
My kids were not allowed to view mature content, especially sexual! Greater studies have proven It's most common, that sexually promiscuous teens, have been sexually abused at a young age. (child abuse covers many aspects, what kids see & hear as well as what they experience). Parents are what's responsible for their kids behavior, there are no BAD SEEDS!

A little exposure, a little controversy, stealing a kiss with some strange person, making out etc. It is used to advertise just about everything and unfortunately Hollywood is the epitome of all this as that is one place where if you are an actress, your body is never yours and you have to play your emotions and body according to the part that you want and need to portray. The only thing that keeps you clean in that industry is the types of movies you choose and the choices you make.
Many people around think if it is seen onscreen it is the in thing and start to live it in reality as that is what we are actors and actresses in reality who bring our life experience to screen in such a way that we blame every source that is around us as the cause of what is going wrong when the actual fault lies in us. We forget to think that what they show on screen is unreal but a characterisation depiction which is perfected with numerous takes till they get the right effect, edited and then embellished and ...

It is the Idolatry and hero worship that brings about the kind of behaviour that we see around as that is the person you ape and want to be like, so if it is your favourite star who is changing partners like clothes you tend to become that particular person and it affects your reality and that is when things take a nasty turn as they do it for dramatisation and you do it in your reality and destroy many lives around.
Hollywood is the entertainment industry, they give you what sells and it is those people who sell their souls to the devil who lose the value in life as the cracks and dents show all over them and they are characterised as cheap and worthless after a while as they take on the vices of life like smoking, drinking, drugs and even surgical enhancements to beautify themselves leading to many people around to do the same in life of reality, thereby bleeding their families dry.
I am in the entertainment industry and what I choose to make, sing, model or portray is purely my choice as my agent can call me with various offers with great money, but all I want is something which is great with character, beautiful and above all with the highest quality. If it doesnot have it, I don't take it as my fans look up to me and if I cannot give them the love that I want to portray in my character, I rather not exist as that is what promotes promiscuity, the actor/actress doing anything for money when all you have to stand up and say is I will not do this part as that is not me. And that is what makes all the difference.
Cheap money means cheap rise and great impact downfall but hard earned money and portrayal is what makes you who and what you are and that is what makes you revered by many people around.
Its the Actors and actresses who have to stand up and revolt and the public who are now getting tired of the way things are portrayed on the silver screen and make a change that will help many other lives around. This is what I personally believe and follow when I take on a particular assignment, I don't do anything for money, I do quality dealings that bring out only the best to the world around me.
Sadly the proof is there for all to see, the boundaries have been pushed further and further and has each boundaries are broken the other boundary goes a step further.
Where will it stop,will there be oral sex in twenty years time, will there be close ups of the privates, if a line is not marked now the boundaries will be passed and that is a fact.
The media/cinema is a powerful tool, and yes there are scenes that i do remember when i was young and it was the talk of the village,Cool Hand Luke where the prisoners look at the woman cleaning the car with suds all over her clothes, she had her clothes on and it was still a very hot scene.
This is nothing now,not a prude just think a line has to be drawn!
Can they make a good film without sex scenes.
