Watching reruns is fun, but can also feel like a waste of time to some. As it turns out though, that is not the case, according to a study by psychologist Jaye Derrick of the University of Buffalo's Research Institute on Addictions. Derrick states that watching reruns can help us all because it replenishes our depleted self-control and ability to resist temptation.
Apparently, when a person is watching a rerun of one of their favorite shows like Seinfeld or Boy Meets World, it can give him or her positivity from the familiar fictional world they know. After all, people don't just want reruns because they are the only thing on TV. They tune in because they are fun and enjoyable to watch.
Reruns also help relieve stress, especially comedies that can potentially clear the clouded mind. Of course, if your temptation is sour cream and onion flavored chips when watching TV, it may be a little hard to suppress that temptation when your favorite show's reruns are on.

Anyone who is a fan of SG1 can tell you 200 is definitely one of the funnier ones. (Window of Opportunity is good too.)
I did watch Married with Children with the family in England, just this morning. Its smarter than reality programs or network news!
While some new shows are innovative, most writers just rehash old plots and ideas, so it is better to watch when they were acted much better. Who can replace Betty White, except Betty White? Ashton Kushner playing Al Bundy? Not a chance in hell!
A lot of writers have crossed a line of common decency, they have crossed a "RESPECT" line that should have been left up to imagination, but we all know the persona' that Hollywood has....so ................................
Better informed in some cases.
And have better values.
Not to even mention some of these shows Have ourstanding color.
I miss quality.
