As a screenwriter I watch to mainly check out which writers won for best screenplay. Though I know that I will never be rich enough to hob-nob with such an elite class of people. But I can always have my pipe dreams

I don't idolize these stars. They're people just like us who got lucky.
It's nice to see the stars especially the Hollywood hunks but I am more curious
about who wins and I like to hear their thank you speeches.

Actually, I don't watch them at all, but if I did, it wouldn't be to see the stars. If I want to see them, I'd go out to somewhere with no light pollution.
