I'm with John Lennon on this one all the way. " 'Cause when you go talking about destruction, yeah, I want you to know that you can count me out." I much prefer Evolution and would love to see that. People becoming enlightened and waking up is cool. So is peaceful protest. Perfect song for the times we are living in now. Thank you.

Where was this question when Bush was in office. Why is there talk of a "revolution" when the President isn't white?

Part of me that hates what the political system has become says yes but I fear what needs to be done will bloody many God loving people. To stand up to tyranny as we have it now will destroy lives, families and individual wealth but it appears that is what is on the way. Those in power have become elitists and no longer represent "We the People" but themselves and their own adgendas. They will not go without a fight........But they will go......

The ballot box is the place to make yourself heard. That is the American way to make changes.

God, this planet needs a revolution so bad, hopefully not an armed revolution, but a revolution nonetheless

But the kind of revolution I want will never happen. The kind where the education system teaches the actual history of the Founding Fathers' drafting of the Constitution and also teaches the actual content of the Constitution. Then, a basic literacy test on what rights are in the Bill of Rights would be required in order to register to vote.

Agree 100% most of the young in America have no ideal that this country is a Republic and not a Democracy. Its a pity hat most Americans do not know the difference, and a Ben Franklin stated to the woman about if wed have a republic he stated Yes..but can you keep it?" that is the main question. The "useful idiots" protesting in New York and around the country are being used by the George Soros's of the world.

Even the Beatles didn't want a Revolution.

"If you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain't gonna make it with anyone any how."

"But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out"

"You ask me for a contribution
    Well, you know
    We're doing what we can
    But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait"

The Beatles were no rebels. Lennon wanted change (check the lyrics to "Imagine" if you don't believe it), but he wanted corporations and governments to simply become enlightened and change themselves. That's not going to happen. If you want to change things, you have to be willing to take action.

Look at any of the successful, lasting revolutions (the American Revolution is a good example). In order to overthrow an entrenched, corrupt, unfair government, one that was beholden to corporate interests, some destruction was required, and some blood had to be shed.

I'm not calling for violence, mind you. I'm just saying that wishing for something is not going to make it happen.
