Twilight the BOOK Series doesn't sell sex. The distribution company does. I guess I can't get anyone to see my point on this.

I agree that in the first movie it is just lust, but eventually they fall in love. Granted in the movie and books they do it quickly, but they only have 2 hours in a movie to show it.

I'm sure people have heard about other's who have fallen in love after a few months and married a year later. Both my parents and my in-laws married within a year of meeting, and they have been married for 48 & 50 years.

Reality is that teenagers aren't falling in love, but in lust. But this isn't reality, it's a book and movie series. I'm talking about the Book series more than the movies, because movies show so little information as compared with the book.

Okay Emma is right. Bella and Edward doesn't love each other they're obsessed with each other. If that was "love" then that is a very, very unhealthy kind of "love."

To be able to grow as a person in love you need a balanced time with your other half and you're friends. Being dependent on your supposed love will only lead to more dire events (like how Bella tries to put herself in danhger just to hear Edward's voice in her head.)

Edward tells Bella no, to all her advances (which if you read the book, there aren't that many) Hence promoting chastity. Bella is a virgin until after marriage, even if she does have normal teenage hormones and no parent telling her that she shouldn't have sex before marriage.

I have read the book. It's not about that it's about reading between the lines. I have encountered a fan here who got pregnant at the age of eighteen just because she wants to be like Bella!

Well, Bella was married and 19, very different situation. So if that teenager was too immature to realise that a book is not reality, she needs to talk to her parents. It's not anyone's fault she did something stupid other than her own. You can't blame a book for her idiocy.

Your problem is that you are "reading between the lines." The author clearly had Bella a normal hormonal teen and Edward a teen that has learn restraint.

SHE DID NOT GET PREGNANT BEFORE MARRIAGE! How does NOT getting pregnant before you get married promoting teen pregnancy? That would be like saying any adult who has kids is promoting teen pregnancy!
