I suppose it could work, but does anyone believe they'll really improve on the original?

On the other hand, it will probably be better than most of the other crap they'll be cranking out.

So why not do something totally new - something really good, like, I don't know, say, "Good Omens" - instead? Freshen the pallet, bring us something new, and raise the bar all at the same time?

Are we really that shallow an audience, Hollywood?

This is a classic. I pray they do not do a re-make. Hollywood has no imagination any more, all they do is re- make old popular movies. Leave the Wizard alone !!!!

We already have and the actor's are already in office.You got Pelosi who's playing Dorthey and Obie who's playing the scarcrow cause he need's a brain.Eric Holder is the Lion cause he's a wimp,and Rahm Emanuel is the tinman cause there's no heart.And the wonderful Michelle is Toto cause their not in Chicago anymore.

It's a classic. I hope they never remake it because it won't ever be as good as the original. I love the Wizard of Oz and have seen it so many times I can say the lines before the actors do.

It has been remade a couple of times, but they never outdid the original.

Maybe if Tim Burton remade it with an unlimited budget?
