I guess you were not here when SodaHead had Down Rave. Once upon a time you could Rave of Down rave a post of comment. But they took it away.

That's a good idea, because sometime people make so silly comment and you don't want to write back a comment, so a thumb down sign will say it all.(:

I don't think it will make a real difference.

This is supposed to be an open opinion site. Why would you ever want to discourage hearing different viewpoints? Plus hurting feelings of people you don't know and might really enjoy talking to in person. Dislike is harsh. Disagree might work

We sort of still do, only sodahead doesn't show us as well and makes it harder to find because they really do not want us to use it.

I think if you used that flag for every time you didn't agree with someone, you'd get thrown off here. It should be used for abusive comments, not because you disagree with them.

Yes, this is why I started with "We sort of still do" and on the other posters question, which the link above shows, I go on to explain what the flag buttons are really for. So my replies are to tell those, who can't find and/or really do not even know they have the opition to flag the spams, which it seems that no one except me ever flags, the not so good sexual content, the bullying,and etc...

It does seem that since they took away the down rave option, that where they put the flags are in such two out of the way places, that sodahead doesn't even want us to use those either...just saying.

No, you aren't the only one who reports these things. Sometimes, I wonder why SH doesn't act more quickly on things that are absolutely against TOS.

No, it just offers an avenue for the haters to express their hatred. What I've seen on other sites where they have such a thing roving cliques of petty minded people run around downvoting everything from people they dislike. When you see somebody having 10 or more negative votes on a comment that contains nothing more than someone saying "thank you" you know something is wrong.

Don't need that kind of crap here. And if they were to implement it, I think it should show who all the people posting the negative votes are, that would eliminate most of the pettiness. I mean, who is going to wish to be seen downvoting a "thank you"?

We have enough trolls on these pages. That's all we need is another way for them to troll.

There used to be and it was a way to tell someone "You're full of sh**!" without actually saying it. I liked it. Now I have to insult directly. Less civilized.

There's not even a like button, but there should be a up vote/ down vote system, i posted a suggestion about this a few weeks back.

There used to be the ability to 'down-rave' a posting for the first year I was here. It really needs to re-instated. However, in a society that values "self-esteem" over proper education, that's not likely to happen.

Sometimes sharing your dislike for something is just as important as showing your approval. I miss the down rave on here.

Can lead to juvenille behaviour. Liking is a good positive act lets keep cheerful.

Juvenille behaviour happens anyway. There was a down rave button when I first joined SH, I'm not sure why they got rid of it.
