Some of the stuff my Dad likes (Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Boston, The Who, etc) remains popular even today, Do you think any of the folks we have out today will be able to make that kind of an impact?

People who insist that all modern music sucks are idiots who really should remove their heads from their asses.

There are plenty of good bands and musicians out there. You just have to wade through a sea of crap to find them, but they're out there.

My friends and I used to talk about this a lot when we were in High School. Then we would ask our selves "when we have kids, will Led Zeppelin still be classic rock or will it be Linkin Park?" there would be a long pause after that, followed by laughter...how could Linkin Park ever be regarded in the same breath as Led Zeppelin!?

i think Green Days making a big impresion on people. i dont think they're gonna be remembered like the greatest band ever or anything like that, but i dout they'll be forgotten. they have been around for quite awhile.

Bands these days are all fake basically, the reason those bands are still remembered for their greatness is because their voices and music wasn't all edited. Now we have a bunch of no talent singers. No one cares about them, music is about talent, they made it into a editing performance.

Funeral is much better than both though, but Radiohead/Arcade Fire are the exception to the rule. To bad more people do not listen to independent music.
