However, I think it's more likely that she's trying to save Suri from Scientology. Probably a mix of both, because Tom Cruise is a Scientologist 24/7.

According to the rag mags she has been trying to leave since shortly after they were married. I think after her initial failed escape attempt that she used all her acting skills to fool him into thinking that she had come around to his way of thinking and was happy now. Then she sat back and collected all kinds of damaging info on the "church". Now armed with all this Intel she is relatively safe from church retaliation ! Hopefully it is enough to keep them away from her daughter !

Scientology is just weird and Katie Holmes comes from a very conventional background. I think as her daughter started becoming aware of the weirdness, Katie became more sensitive to it and wanted to protect her daughter.

Has anyone read the articles stating that All three of his wives have departed at age 33 and that 33 is an important number in scientology. Another bit - Suri is 6 (3+3). I love conspiracy theories. LOL

I think he can come across as arrogant in his opinions...remember the Brooke Sheilds criticism he gave to Matt Laurer? He was way out of his element in discussing such an issue...until he's walked the walk shut up on a subject it's best to say nothing about it...he took a flak load of hits for his insensitivity and ignorance...that was before he was bouncing on the couch with Oprah...
