Parcells is a great short term fit anywhere. He'll be successful with the Saints this year, especially with the talent they have.

Why bring him in? Doesn't the ownership have confidence in Payton's assistant coaches? Parcell's 70 something and really doesn't need to tinker with the Saints program.

Nope... he's not a good fit. He'd be a good fit to review what Payton has in place and make recommendations to Payton's assistants re: tweaking it during Payton's absence but don't bring him in as the interim head coach.

The Saints will need a coach that is no nonsense and one who knows how to stand his ground, and I think that Bill Parcells fits the bill. I think it's going to be a rough year for the Saints, their creditability is on the line.
