Video games have been a communal activity since their inception. "Pong," one of the earliest arcade games, was multiplayer. There was even a similar game created decades earlier (1958) named after its multiplayer support: "Tennis for Two." Even single-player games, like "Space Invaders" and "Donkey Kong," were played in groups at the local arcade.
These days, multiplayer support usually comes in the form of online gaming. There's an entire movement of innovative massively multiplayer games, such as "World of Warcraft" or "Second Life," which can place thousands of players in the same virtual world together. But single-player games still thrive. This year's most popular game, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," is explicitly single-player.
What kind of game do you prefer? Do you like competing against your friends or online opponents, or would you rather beat down some baddies on your own? Maybe you like to play single-player games in groups, switching off the controller. Whatever your preference, we want to know!

Single-player

I will, however, play with/against others on occasion.
