For the most part I prefer to watch movies at home. Saves money and no people to ruin the movie. I'm lucky enough to have a nice TV and surround sound system so why not just watch at home, but I know not everyone is that lucky. Sometimes if I think the movie is going to be really good, I'll go see it in theaters. Usually because I don't want to wait for it to come out on DVD haha.

Who can afford to go to the theater nowdays? That's really sad to say, but unfortunately it's the truth. I'm probably like most struggling to survive today, so I just wait for Comcast to flub up my service, and I get a free movie channel of my choice for three, six or twelve months. THEN, the price of the movie fits my wallet. The cost of my cats meals have priority over any movie. It's my cross, and I'm glad to bear it for them. Just think of those who live in an uncivilized area who have never seen a single movie in their life, and then I feel ashamed over what I can or can not do.

This is a good question, but i think it's better to watch a movie at home. There are some movies that are better seen in the theaters though. There are also movies that are not worth buying tickets for. At home you can pause the movie and you can eat whatever you want, unlike in the theaters you have to buy the theater food if you're hungry or eat before you go inside which i usually don't do because i sneak in food.

well, the weather makes it more exciting.
would you rather see "The Avengers", for example, on a sunny day, or when it's rainig cats and dogs?

The weather doesn't affect how good the movie is. We don't get enough sunny days so if it's sunny, I usually would rather do something outside. It's usually sunny the whole summer so in the summer, I would go the movies when it's sunny.

I know that, I wish it was sunny year-round here. I love sunny weather. I have AC at my house though and in my car.

I agree! Plus I have surround sound in my room, so we get the total intimate everything.We can pause for mutual pottie-breaks and come back without missing anything.

It's actually both, but it's certain movies that I like to look at in the theater then others I can just wait until it's out on dvd.
