    Lee is a technical genius without much story depth usually. Spielberg should have more Oscars as a Director by now!

    I would not put him in the best ever category but he has directed some fine films. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon anyone?

    The first movie my daughter worked on as a makeup artist was directed by Ang Lee. "Ride with the Devil" never went anywhere, but it was a good movie. It had Jewel the singer as one of the stars. Right after that he came out with Crouching Tiger etc.

    I liked both movies, so I guess I would consider him a good director.

    A few of his flicks are actually among my faves...but I don't know enough about his work to say I think he's one of the best.
