I like a lot of black/thrash/avant-garde metal.
You should check out Celtic Frost, Venom, Mr. Bungle, Mayhem, Immortal, and Dimmu Borgir.

I hate bored music, so I like it heavy..I think this is my fav heavy metal band (thou I listen more to death metal and stuff)..

Gothic Doom Metal

Symphonic metal is my favorite music. Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica, Sirenia and Sonata Arctica, for example. I do like some other metal, like Dragonforce, Rammstein, Iron Maiden, etc. I don't like death metal though. Too much growling or screaming is incredibly tedious to me. In moderation, it's fine though.

I love it. Not all of it is ungroomed dude with too many piercings randomly smacking their instruments while screaming unintelligibly. It can be fun, epic, or even beautiful.

I'm also probably goingto be told one of both of the videos I posted "Isn't real metal" because I find metal heads are often in the most disagreement as to what qualifies as "real" metal, more so then any other music genre. Because no matter how much a pop lover hates Justin Bieber they will probably admit he is still pop music. Metal heads will do no such thing.

Depends on the artist and the song. I mean Death Metal, just... no. Sometimes Alternative Metal can be good.

What do you like then?? If you think metal is just noise than that means you haven't heard any real metal. Metal is one the the genres of music which has the most lyrically intense songs, and what about the complex guitar riffs (and solos). Metal is one of the hardest genres of music to play and master, whatever instrument, be it guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, violins or any other instrument
